What EAA Did For Kimberly Hee

My name is Kimberly Hee,  

For the past 11 years I have been serving as an Administrative Coordinator I in the Office of the City Attorney’s Harbor Division.

Last spring, I was informed that due to a support staff shortage I was being transferred from my current Administrative Coordinator position at the Harbor Department to a position that would be 50% Harbor Department and 50% Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA).  I believed that my Department unfairly targeted my work group and that the transfer was unreasonable. I contacted EAA and asked if anything could be done.

EAA Labor advised me that the transfer was a material change to my position. EAA immediately issued a letter to Human Resources mandating that they cease and desist all transfer activities until and unless management fulfilled the requirement to meet and confer with the union. EAA provided valuable support and advice throughout the entire process.  EAA was successful in deferring the transfer and I have continued my employment at the Harbor Department.

I am very grateful to EAA for all of the hard work on my behalf.
