This week the City has taken steps to adopt the results of the Separation Incentive Program (SIP) for council-controlled departments. Adopting the SIP requires the Council to approve an amendment. We are currently in that process now. Once we review and approve the amendment for form, we will share more details.
All members who have applied for the SIP will receive the incentive. If you did not apply for the SIP, there are no changes or impact to your working conditions. The City has reserved its right to furlough. Meanwhile, we maintain that our MOUs are charter-obligated financial commitments to our workers and will not agree to any changes without a vote of our dues-paying members.
