Labor Representative Darryl Cherness

EAA_Logo_shield_2cDarryl Cherness resides in Culver City with his wife, Amy, and their eleven year old daughter, Isabell. A life-long resident, he has had roots in Culver City since 1953 and is a product of the Culver City Unified School District. Darryl graduated from Culver City High School; attended West Los Angeles College; earned his Bachelors Degree in Public Administration from Cal State University of San Diego State; and later received his Doctor of Jurisprudence Degree from the University of West Los Angeles School of Law.

Darryl spent eleven years working for the City of Los Angeles, first as a Buyer with the General Services Department and later as a Management Analyst with the Community Development Department (CDD). In 2000, he went to work as a Labor Representative with the Engineers & Architects Association where he remained dutifully until December of 2009.

After he left the Engineers & Architects Association, Darryl turned his focus towards community activism. Since his departure, Darryl involved himself with the Culver City Civil Service Commission, where he currently serves as Chair of the Commission. In May of 2017, Darryl Received a call from the Engineers & Architects Association requesting that he return as a Labor Representative. Darryl looks forward to working with his friends, old and new, as well as serving the members of the Engineers & Architects Association.
