Highlights: 4th Annual Ascot Hills 5k Challenge

Up early on a Saturday morning in the hills of El Sereno, Team EAA’s contingent of runners were on hand for the fourth annual Ascot Hills Challenge.

The Challenge: Conquer (run or walk) a three-mile stretch of sun-drenched slopes
The Reason: Walking to stay healthy while supporting a good cause

Proceeds from the fourth annual Ascot Hills Challenge benefited the Wilson High School Fire and Police Magnet Cadet Program and Ascot Hills Park itself. Spearheaded by captain (and Sr. Labor Representative and Stewards Coordinator) Marleen Fonseca, Team EAA fielded fifteen of its own members to represent the union. Not only that, one of our runners even placed first overall in their age group. Congratulations Ayie Scianni, who also finished first at the 16th Victory for Victims Walk/Run earlier this year!

Before I get to the honorable mentions, Captain Fonseca wanted to inform you to keep an eye out for the next run. There could potentially be one in January and possibly another in April. Stay tuned to the EAA Calendar. And now, we introduce you to Team EAA:
