EAA Was There For Vivian When She Needed Them Most
After almost 24 years of service with the Los Angeles Police Department, I found myself calling EAA for representation.
I received a Notice to Correct Deficiencies for the first time in my career. Without any progressive discipline and corrective measures, my commanding officer at the time served the NTC along with the direction that I find another division to work for.
During that time, the division was going through renovations and placed my Unit in a small and confined area to work out of. It was miserable for everyone, however since I was the supervisor and in-charge, I needed to make sure the work got done regardless of the IOD claims the employees were submitting due to the working conditions. Impossible to meet the demands without employees, the backlog of work was increasing with no end in sight.
Thank goodness for EAA representation in helping me to get the NTC rescinded, as well as help mediate with the commanding officer on improvements for a better working environment. I hope the rest of my career goes without needing their services, but it is comforting to know they are there for me if I do.
