17th Annual Victory For Victims 5k/10k

The Center for Assault Treatment Services (CATS) is hosting its 17th Annual Victory for Victims Walk/Run” on Saturday, April 20, 2019.  The event will be hosted in City District 6 at Lake Balboa at Woodley Park (site 1) in Van Nuys. There will be fabulous finish line festivities including free food and drinks; a cool down massage lounge; fitness, health and business expos; a Kids Fun Zone; and much more!

For the second year in a row, all participants, who manage to finish the Woodley Park 5k/10k course, will receive a finisher’s medal. So there you have a reward for persevering, but what about the motivation from a good cause?! Well, last year’s edition of Victory For Victims raised a reported $160,613 for the NHMC’s Center for Assault Treatment Services (CATS).

In line with EAA Outreach’s yearly initiatives, the Engineers & Architects Association is one of the many distinguished sponsors taking part in the event, but our participation as a union is not limited to just philanthropy. EAA Labor Representative Marleen Fonseca wants to recruit a few of you to run and rep Engineers & Architects Association in the “17th Annual Victory for Victims Walk/Run”.

The first eight members to sign up will receive complimentary registration, which includes a finisher’s medal and an event t-shirt. All members, who register, will be given an EAA shirt to wear while participating, promoting City employee wellness and pride in our Union.

Interested members should email Marleen at fonseca@eaaunion.org
