FINAL MOU ADOPTION UPDATE

On June 13, 2012, in BARGAINING, EAA NEWS, LABOR NEWS, REPRESENTATION, UNION ELECTIONS, by Engineers & Architects Association

Los Angeles City Council approved our ratified MOU's on June 12, 2012 by a unanimous vote. Newly-adopted MOU's 1 / 19 / 20 / 21 are now posted on the CAO website and EAA Website.

EAA Members denied equal opportunity for Acting Supervisor experience are now granted such duty on rotation basis.

Comment card issued for exercising rights under labor contract rescinded by ERG.

EAA Member\'s termination, for changing entry on sign-in and out sheet, rescinded.

Department of Finance

Through negotiations and working relationship with department management EAA was able to gain for eight Office Finance Investigators a consolidation into the Tax Compliance Officer Classifications.

Planning Department

EAA Member\'s Termination reduced to five day suspension via disciplinary appeal.

Personnel Department

Through arbitration EAA settled with a $20,000 over time pay for several Background Investigators.

Information Technology Agency

Management’s practice of allowing three of four assigned supervisors to take concurrent leave for lunch suspended.

Department of Finance

Through Group Grievance and Mediation, 7 Tax Compliance Officers I\'s (TCO) were advanced to TCO II with retroactive pay.

Los Angeles Police Department

EAA Member\'s suspension for allegations of misconduct rescinded.

Information Technology Agency

A ten day suspension of an ITA member was reduced to 5 days and allowed to retire with no further action.

Bureau of Sanitation

EAA Members were shorted money as a result of taxation of boot allowance; Management agrees to negotiate cash increase in next contract.

Department of Finance

Through negotiations EAA was successful in obtaining an Office of Finance member to resign in lieu of termination.

Department of Housing

EAA member receives 5-figure acting supervisor back pay via Grievance procedure.

Port of Los Angeles

EAA Member\'s monitoring and counseling for punctuality rescinded.

Los Angeles Department of Transportation

EAA Member alleges discrimination by supervisor; supervisor removed from member\'s line of supervision.
