The injustice of "bridge class" time limits during periods of fiscal crisis (and of restricted hiring / promotion) has been an issue crying out for resolution. While it has been very difficult to address this in MOU bargaining, there is now the prospect of some relief. Item 10 on the May 10th Civil Service Commission agenda references a proposed revision to CSC Rule 5.30 which would enable the extensions of time for the "bridge". EAA will post further updates as this proposed revision proceeds.
