Website Rehab: Your Patience is Requested

On March 28, 2012, in THE NEW EAA, by Engineers & Architects Association

Progress is being made toward rehabilitation of the Union website.  During this rehab period, there will be a glitch from time to time.  For this we ask your patience.  The deletion of past Board agendas and minutes from the website during the week of March 19th, however, was not the result of this project.  The Administrative Officer, when asked by your Governors for an explanation, suggested that Zachery DeCorse may have deleted the files without the Admin Officer’s knowledge, just prior to ending his service as EAA staff.  The Admin Officer subsequently informed the Board that he himself may have deleted the files, in error. We are seeking to restore those previously posted agendas and minutes [many of which are already re-posted now].  We are also taking steps to ensure that “Comments” posted on our EAA website are those of actual EAA members, and to ensure that that the website “Comment” section functions as an exchange of opinions, concerns, and ideas between members – and not as a free platform for anonymous bloggers.  This may require, in the near future, that members who wish to post comments on the EAA website re-register.  These changes are designed with our members in mind, and are for the sole purpose of maintaining a spirit of authentic dialogue.  Your Board of Governors is committed to full participation of EAA members.
