Amelia Hernandez

At-Large Governor

Amelia Hernandez was elected to EAA Board of Governors in February 2012 as Governor – at – Large representing MOU's 1, 19, 20 and 21.

Governor Hernandez has been employed by the City of Los Angeles for over eighteen years. Governor Hernandez started her City service in the Los Angeles Housing Department as a Management Assistant, later promoting to her current Finance Development Officer position specializing in affordable housing for low income families in the City of Los Angeles.

Governor Hernandez began her service as a EAA Union Steward in 2010, advocating for EAA members in the Los Angeles Housing Department main office (Garland Building). Dedicated to returning Integrity, Accountability and Transparency to EAA Board of Governors and to your union, Governor Hernandez decided to run for the EAA Board of Governors.

After being elected by MOU 1, 19, 20 and 21 unit members, Governor Hernandez was appointed by Board President Melissa Popovic to the following EAA Board Committees: Finance Committee and the Membership/Stewards Committee (of which Governor Hernandez is Chairperson).
